I had the opportunity to attend IABC Chicago’s luncheon on the Edelman Trust Barometer last week. It was an outstanding presentation by Tamara (Snyder) Rodman, followed by a lively discussion on the topic. Almost all categories of groups (businesses, media, NGOs, government agencies, etc.) have declined since last year’s barometer in terms of trustworthiness.
It is amazing how even the tried and true media is losing trust. It is a scary time for sure and I encourage you to look at the findings of the Trust Barometer. It will make you think.
